Do you have a story?
Whether you’re an Aleut internment survivor who has a story to share—or perhaps the son or daughter, grandchild, niece, nephew, even friend or colleague of an Aleut internment survivor with a related story—you’re invited to submit a short piece for possible publication on this website.
Stories should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the words “Sharing Stories” in the subject field, along with a photo of the author if available.
Submissions should be 500 words or less, and MUST include the author’s name, telephone number, and address so the piece may be authenticated.
Submissions may be sent as plain text in the body of the message or as Word Document attachments. Photos should be sent as .jpg attachments.
Receipt of a submission will be acknowledged. However, receipt does NOT constitute acceptance for publication.
By making this offer and receiving submissions, the Aleut Story website is under no obligation to publish any materials received.
Stories which are do not provide requested contact information and cannot be authenticated, are determined to be profane, defamatory, contain copyrighted material without proper release, exceed the word limit or are otherwise found inappropriate for publication will not be posted to the website.
